What you can and can't change with providers directly

When Bundled manages a service for you, some things are still in your control — and some things need to go through us. Here's the line.

You can change

  • Profile names and avatars on multi-profile services (Netflix profiles, Hulu profiles, Disney+ profiles)
  • Viewing history and "Continue watching" preferences
  • Language settings and subtitle preferences
  • Playlists, watchlists, libraries, favorites
  • Recommendations and personalization (thumbs up/down, "Don't show me this again")
  • Quality / streaming preferences within your plan
  • Notification settings with the provider (push notifications, marketing emails)

These don't touch billing or account ownership, so go ahead and customize.

Don't change

These changes break how we manage your account. Always go through Bundled support instead.

❌ Don't change your password directly with the provider

Our system uses the Bundled-issued password to manage the account. If you change it at the provider's site, we temporarily lose access — which can break billing and cancellation.

If you need to change the password (security concern, suspicious activity), email [email protected] first.

❌ Don't change your email or username at the provider

Same reason. Verification codes and account-management emails get routed through your Bundled alias. Change the email at the provider, and that routing breaks.

❌ Don't update payment information at the provider

We use Bundled-controlled payment cards to pay each provider. If you swap in your personal card directly, you start double-paying and our billing automation breaks.

If you need to update payment for your Bundled membership, do it through your dashboard.

❌ Don't upgrade or downgrade plans directly

Want to go from Netflix Standard to Premium? Or downgrade Spotify to a smaller plan? Do it through your Bundled dashboard so the bundle price and your member rate update correctly.

If you upgrade directly with the provider, you'll be charged the provider's retail price — and our billing gets out of sync.

❌ Don't cancel the subscription directly

Want to remove a service from your bundle? Do it through Bundled. If you cancel at Netflix.com, our billing automation still thinks the service is active until we detect the change, which can cause confusion.
