# How Bundled manages your subscriptions

Beyond just paying providers on your behalf, Bundled actively monitors and manages your subscriptions to save you money over time. Here's what we do.

## Price increase monitoring

Subscription companies raise prices regularly — on average, **once every 14 months** for major services. When a provider in your bundle announces a price hike, we:

1. **Detect the change** through our provider monitoring
2. **Negotiate** with the provider for member pricing where possible or where we have a partnership
3. **Notify you** if the increase will affect your bundle
4. **Suggest alternatives** if a competitor service in the same category has better pricing

For Bundled-controlled price increases (extremely rare), we always provide advance notice as required by state automatic-renewal laws.

## Retention offers and downgrades

When a provider offers retention pricing (lower prices to stay), we use them on your behalf where it helps your bundle economics.

When usage drops on a service, we may proactively downgrade you to a lower tier instead of canceling — preserving access at a lower cost. You can override any downgrade in your dashboard.

## No-click cancellations

Our AI monitors your activity per service, and for services you've stopped using, we proactively cancel them on your behalf. See [How no-click cancellations work](https://help.gobundled.com/en/article/no-click-cancellations-1g28jzt/) for details.

## Trial timeline management

Risk-Free Trials require careful timing — we have to pause the payment card precisely when the trial ends. We track every trial in your bundle and handle the pause automatically.

You don't need to set calendar reminders. The trial just ends unless you proactively extend it.

## Provider issues and outages

When a provider has a service outage, billing issue, or account problem, we:

* Reach out to provider support on your behalf
* Get you a credit or partial refund where applicable
* Resolve account access issues with the provider directly

You shouldn't have to spend an hour on Netflix support to fix something. That's our job.

## What we don't do without telling you

We don't make material changes to your bundle without you knowing. We will:

* **Notify you in advance** of any significant change (service substitution, price change, removal of a service)
* **Give you a chance to opt out** before the change takes effect
* **Document the change** in your dashboard activity log

What "material" means: anything that changes the substance of what you signed up for. Routine optimization (negotiating better rates with a provider, swapping cards for security reasons) happens in the background and doesn't require your input.

## Why this exists

Subscriptions are a "set it and forget it" purchase — which providers exploit. Prices creep up, free trials auto-convert, downgrade options get buried in account settings.

Bundled flips that. We do the work of monitoring, negotiating, and optimizing so you don't have to. That's the core of what your membership pays for — not just the bundle pricing, but the active management of your subscription life.

## Opting out

If you'd prefer that we **not** actively manage your bundle and just leave everything running regardless of usage or price changes:

1. Dashboard → **Optimization Settings**
2. Toggle the relevant features off

You'll lose the savings benefits, but you keep the bundled pricing and one-bill convenience.
