# A provider is asking me to update payment info

If a service in your bundle prompts you to update payment information, **don't enter your personal card.** Here's what's happening and what to do.

## Why this happens

A provider might ask for updated payment info if:

- The Bundled-issued card on file is expiring soon
- A recent charge was declined or returned
- The provider is doing a routine verification of the card
- They want you to "confirm" the payment method during checkout for a new feature

In most cases, this is fine — it just means we need to handle the update from our side.

## What to do

Two options:

### Option 1: Skip the prompt (most cases)

If the prompt is informational (not blocking access), close it. We'll detect the card-update need from our side and resolve it automatically.

You can keep using the service in the meantime. We have multiple cards on file with most providers as a redundancy.

### Option 2: Email support if access is blocked

If the prompt is blocking access ("Update payment to continue"):

1. **Don't enter your personal card.**
2. Take a screenshot of the prompt.
3. Email **support@gobundled.com** with the screenshot.
4. We'll handle it with the provider directly — usually within an hour during business hours.

## What if I already entered my personal card?

This is recoverable. Email **support@gobundled.com** with:

- Which service you updated payment on
- When you did it
- Whether you've been double-charged

We'll:

1. Help you remove your card from the provider
2. Re-add a Bundled-managed card
3. Help you get a refund from the provider for any duplicate charges (Bundled won't have charged you twice — but the provider may have)

The faster you let us know, the easier it is to clean up. Don't wait.

## Why our billing process works this way

We use Bundled-controlled payment cards to pay each provider so we can:

- Manage Risk-Free Trials (pause the card to prevent auto-conversion)
- Execute no-click cancellations (stop paying when you stop using)
- Keep your personal card private from individual providers
- Negotiate, downgrade, and cancel on your behalf

If you put your personal card on file with a provider directly, all of these features break for that service. Worse, you start getting billed by both Bundled and the provider — double-payment.
